Job Description
At Motion Industries, Material Handlers are key members of our team.? While shipping, receiving, and processing orders for the Distribution Centers, they ensure customers receive the correct products on time.
Responsibilities :li/:Adheres to established safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures:li/:Utilizes Warehouse Management System (WMS) to receive and process products for placement into Distribution Center (DC) inventory or for shipment of cross dock items:li/:Verifies that the product and quantity received matches the advanced ship notice (ASN):li/:Utilizes Company Operating System (COS) and WMS to process orders to be shipped to Branch, Customer, or DC:li/:Verifies that the product and quantity pulled are correct and place into order picking container:li/:Verifies Branch or DC order (correct product, quality, and quantity), and places product into appropriate shipping container for shipment to Branch, Customer, or DC:li/:Prepares packing slips, shipping labels, bills of lading, and other required documents as needed:li/:Consolidates specific Branch shipments from multiple order processing zones for processing as needed:li/:Ensures warehouse work areas and equipment are clean, orderly, and properly maintained:li/:Ensures all orders are processed accurately and timely:li/:Replenishes primary stock shelves from reserve stock locations as needed:li/:Interacts with other DC employees to resolve any problems with customer orders:li/:Interacts with external couriers and truck drivers to ensure product is efficiently transferred to and from shipping vehicles.
Qualifications :li/: Reliable, organized, attentive to detail, and committed to high quality work productivity:li/: Ability to regularly stand, walk and lift; occasionally sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, or crawl:li/: Basic computer skills, including information processing required:li/: May need to be certified to operate a forklift and/or other mobile equipment:li/: May need to be certified to handle hazardous material shipments:li/: Ability to handle up to 150 lbs.:li/: May need valid drivers license and good driving record:li/: High School diploma or equivalent.
